Sept. 14, 2019 - I (Jessica) was working at the Clay County Fair in Spencer, IA. Stephanie Sauter and Aaron Kaderabek had plans to come to Spencer so we could see the fair once I was done working for the day. Last minute, they asked if Adam could join. Adam & I already knew each other from school and mutual friends, but I didn't hesitate and said I didn't mind. After the fair, we all hung out at Stephanie & Aaron's and the rest is history! Sept. 13, 2020 - Adam & I went to Spencer, IA for the day. The Clay County Fair had been cancelled, but they were still doing a food event. We spent the afternoon eating fair food, touring the town and doing some shopping. I thought it was a typical date day for us! Little did I know that Adam had other plans for us when we got home that day. We pulled into the driveway and I saw a round bale that said "WILL" (and I thought his brother William was pranking us). Then I saw another that said "YOU" and I instantly started crying. We pulled further into the yard and there was a line of round bales spelling out, "MARRY ME?". Of course, I said yes! Our families had help set up the proposal and celebrated with us the rest of the day. It was such a perfect day.
