Kim Collie

Matron of Honor

About Kim: Kim is a wine drinking enthusiast as well as both a big Hawks and Cubs fan (these two things may now be more related). She has a 2 old son Brayden who keeps her plenty busy most days. Bridget & Kim met when they randomly roomed together freshman year at Ball State. They both grew up in the Chicago suburbs and instantly bonded over their dislike of Indiana. A friendship was forged and despite Bridget transferring out of BSU after her freshman year they remained close. Upon graduation, they both ended up moving to the East Coast – Bridget to Boston and Kim to Baltimore – where a whole lot of shenanigans ensued, mainly around hockey games and all things Blackhawks. They even famously witnessed Cory Crawford’s first shutout and made it on TV in full celebration mode.

Will Bennett

Best Man

About Will: Will enjoys strumming his guitar while singing to self-written ditties and hanging-out with a cardboard cutout of the “Big Hurt”, which once resided in his kitchen until it succumbed to the elements. These two lads met in Grinnell through the baseball team. Jason was a tall right-handed pitcher and Will was a taller left-handed pitcher. They bonded at Grinnell through bullpen shenanigans that included (but not limited to) watching whether a teammate could finish a Costco-size bag of carrots before the end of a game, countless scenario-based questions balancing trade-offs while in absurd predicaments, and burying Gatorade bottles as time capsules. Jason and Will even managed to make it through 24+ hour bus rides as “seat-mates” on the annual trip down to Florida each season.

Kelsey Schwartz

Bridesmaid

About Kelsey: The oldest of the Schwartz clan, Kelsey lives in Indiana where she works with all things horses and lives with her cat Nix. She can be found most days on the couch with a book in her hands. Kelsey & Bridget met a glorious day in March when Bridget was born. Having only had a brother up until this point, Kelsey was thrilled for a little sister (she wasn’t, but let’s pretend anyway). As sisters do, they fought a bunch and at exactly 4 school years apart, Kelsey was forced to share all big graduations with her little sister. But Bridget couldn’t have been happier to share the day with her big sister who she looked up to. They can always at least be happy that they were never forced to wear matching outfits by their mother.

Andrew Platt

Groomsman

About Platt: Andrew, also known by his last name, “Platt”, enjoys birding and playing Skat (a German three-player card game devised in the 1800s). These two young chaps met early in life at High School. They both played for Whitney Young’s baseball team and continued on as teammates in Grinnell’s baseball program. Rather than “rolling the dice” on a Freshman year roommate, they roomed together during their first and second years at Grinnell. They even capped off their time at Grinnell sharing the same dorm room floor during their Senior year, along with the rest of the Grinnell baseball team’s senior class.
