Maid of Honor
Marissa, our organized Virgo Queen, is the very best Maid of Honor and Jen's younger sister. Brian and Jen are not entirely sure where they would be without her when it comes to wedding planning (and life in general). She is an incredible daughter, sister, sister-in-law, friend, fiancée, and furmom. Marissa and Jen might have spent most of their early years bugging each other, but once they realized that they were both actually cool they've been attached at the hip. Her Bravo reality TV knowledge is EXTENSIVE, and she's always down to put pjs on, eat snacks, and watch something trashy. She's the greatest hype-woman there ever was, and always brings the party. Marissa will insist that everyone take too many tequila shots at the party, but she will also insist that everyone drink water and eat more carbs.
Best Man
This celebration's resident dungeon master and "cool dude," Garrett is the very best man a groom could ask for. From his early days selling pasta sauce out of a van at the Hoboken Farmer's Market, Garrett and Brian became fast friends, bonding over everything from Star Wars to whether or not it's acceptable to eat leftover pizza cold. But did you know that he was actually friends with Jen first? Weird how that happens sometimes. Also, he's a published poet, and you should buy his book!
Bridesmaid
You know how dynamic duos in media are red and blue coded? Team Rocket, Tulio and Miguel, Heat Miser and Snow Miser? You can add Caroline and Jen to that list. They met in a "Women, Gender, and Sexuality in Ancient Times" class at Montclair State University. Caroline made a joke about Euripides being ancient fanfiction, Jen laughed, and the rest is history. If you ever need a book recommendation, she's your woman! She has the most impressive collection of books Jen has ever seen. Caire is an incredibly creative person and she makes such beautiful paintings, drawings, literature, and cosplay.
Groomsman
Representing the west coast is Nicholas - Brian's little brother, but don't ask them which of them is taller. Also, don't ask how much they had to drink when this photo was taken. Anyways, Nicholas is a brilliant engineer with an equally brilliant mustache. From humble beginnings as quarrelsome children, the brothers Denu have grown to become an iconic duo. He and his wife Sarah have been indispensable during the wedding planning process, and the bride and groom are so lucky to have their wisdom imparted upon them.
Bridesmaid
Sarah is this wedding party's own Midwestern Princess. She reigns over a palace filled with pink things, books, vintage tchotchkes, craft supplies, cats, a turtle, and her husband (Garrett). After a fateful introduction at the Hoboken weekday Farmers' Market, Jen, Sarah, Brian, and Garrett shared some laughs and easy conversation. Before they knew it they were all playing Dungeons and Dragons every week (with Marissa and Kenny too)! Sarah is always ready to provide intelligent and insightful advice (she's an LCSW), but she'll also always be there to enable your next emotional impulse purchase.
Groomsman
Future brother-in-law Kenny is a friend to all animals, and can dish out dad jokes and weird YouTube recommendations faster than he can strum his mandolin. If this wedding had awards, he'd easily win Best Dressed (bride and groom included). He and Brian have the conjoined pleasure of being the emotional anchors of the greater Rogers/DiSavino family unit. Thank you in advance for making sure the invites are properly delivered. Flatmates 4 lyfe.
Bridesmaid
Jenna and Jennifer. While they knew each other in high school, it wasn't until after graduation that they got close. At this point, the two of them have become experts at knowing which "Jen" someone is asking for when they're both in the same room together. Jenna is a lover of all things pink, nerdy, and kawaii. She is the Queen of TJX stores and the Pequannock Free Group on Facebook. Jenna's amazing smile and Aries energy always bring up the vibe of any room she's in. If you ever need to know the best place to get a latte, yummy pastries, or a delicious meal in the tri-state area, all you need to do is check out her Instagram or TikTok.
Groomsman
Brian will never apologize for using this photo - it perfectly summarizes their friendship. Danny and Brian met in College Choir, and after rooming together while on tour, they decided to keep the good , weird vibes going. From Gettysburg to Nashville, he's lived with Brian longer than any non-family member, save for Jen - an astonishing achievement. He's an extraordinary baker, culinary connoisseur, book and podcast recommender, and friend.
Bridesmaid
Jen calls Shannon her "nerdy den mother", as it was Shannon who got her into Tolkien. Shannon needed someone to see The Hobbit movies with and recruited Jen, who insisted on reading the book first. It was all downhill from there, with Jen and Shannon often crying over fictional characters, in a variety of genres (fantasy, sci-fi, period dramas), together. She was an early adopter of the now chic Grandma hobbies, and she knits the most beautiful pieces. Shannon is absolutely dripping in degrees and she is a co-author on a paper that was recently published in a well-known nursing journal. If we give her enough drinks at the wedding, she might drop down into her signature split on the dancefloor!
Groomswoman
Many years ago, sitting in the Gettysburg College electronics lab, Kristen and Brian were paired together as lab partners. After successfully coaxing the ghosts out of their custom-built theremin, they became inseparable, and performed together in what remains the Sunderman Conservatory's longest ever senior recital (citation needed). Kristen is a dog mom, a ray of light, and a supportive friend whenever she is needed. She's also your go-to person if you need your CT Scan machine tested, or if you just need a cupcake.
