Santorini is a very popular island, therefore it is important to book your accommodations as soon as possible. The best time to book your trip is no later than 6 months in advance. That’s the best practice, because it gives you ample time to find the perfect place to stay and avoid being disappointed when everything’s booked. Some places are already available to book for June 2024, whereas others have not opened booking or released prices for 2024. Below we have included a website with hotel recommendations. This website also has information about ferries, things to do, places to eat, etc. https://santorinidave.com/best-places-santorini
Fira- Fira is the biggest town in Santorini and is the hub for the Santorini bus network. Santorini is known to be one of the best places for first timers because of their endless restaurants, incredible night life, and beautiful views of the caldera. Fira is the most accessible village, which makes it the most crowded. Oia- Oia is the most picturesque of all the islands. Chances are that the iconic photo you have seen of Santorini is a picture of Oia. Oia is known to have beautiful winding step paths, amazing architecture, and magnificent sunsets. Oia is the furthest from the wedding venue, but the gorgeous views are worth the drive. Imerovigli-Imerovigli sits at the highest point of the caldera with the very best views of Nea Kameni, Santorini's black volcanic island in the center of the lagoon. There are those who will also tell you that the sunset views from Imerovigli are better than those of Oia. Imerovigli is very quiet and romantic. Perissa- Perissa is a coastal town on the east side with the island's best beaches. It is the most popular village that is close to the wedding venue. It is also known for being more affordable and less crowded than Oia and Imerovigli. However, you will not get the famous caldera views.

The temperature in June is on average ~75 - 85 F; however, Santorini can also be very hot in the summertime. The temperature can drop down into the mid 60's at night. Santorini is known to be pretty windy. We would recommend everyone to bring a light jacket or shawl.
Pack as light as possible. It is very difficult to get large suitcases on and off the ferry, as well as up the many cobblestone steps in Santorini. Ask Janci! She has learned her lesson with large suitcases.

YES!! We hope that you decide to island hop after the wedding is over, as we will. We will be more than happy to share our itinerary with you at a later date.
We do NOT recommend taking a donkey ride in Santorini. These animals are not treated well and we believe these rides are considered animal abuse.
