We first met just days before our first semester at UWEC. William conveniently lived in the dorm room right across from my best friend Sean, so naturally we saw each other often. We admit now that we both felt a spark from the beginning, but several months later it felt like we truly met for the first time when Will found me in a practice room teaching myself guitar and decided to help. We ended up laughing and talking all night long, and from then on we knew we were meant to be together.

It was the proposal of my dreams -- I had mentioned at one point that I thought the most magnificent proposal would be on a hot air balloon ride high up in the sky. So naturally, when we took our first big road trip out west together, William booked us a private hot air balloon ride in Colorado overlooking the Rocky Mountains and popped the question. Despite the deafening *whooooosh* of the fire keeping us afloat, it was the most beautiful and magical day of both of our lives!

As 2020 would have it, we had to reschedule our wedding *twice* for the sake of everyone's safety. But we got to a point where we realized life is too short to wait around for your dreams, so we made the quick decision to have an intimate, perfect small ceremony in Door County to finally tie the knot. It was so special and we wouldn't change a thing. That being said-- we still wanted to throw the party we were so looking forward to, so we scheduled our big reception for almost exactly a year later to celebrate our 1 year anniversary!
