Believe it or not, you can find your soulmate on Tinder! Janani and John are evidence that you can meet the love of your life online. Janani and John matched on the online dating platform and chatted for a few days. They met for their first date at a restaurant on the beach. To no ones surprise, Janani was late for their date, and not just fashionably late, but very late. Janani was so nervous and couldn't decide on an outfit. She texted John saying she would be late, hoping he wouldn’t leave. When she walked into Landshark Bar and Grill, she was relieved and ecstatic to see him sitting there. John and Janani talked and laughed throughout the dinner and were instantly smitten with one another. After dinner they enjoyed a long walk along the beach and continued to talk and get to know one another. Janani knew that John was going to be the one after that amazing first date. She even told her bestfriend Raveena (Maid of Honor), that there was something so special about John, and boy was she right! The following week, Janani and Chris (Man of Honor) visited Raveena in New York City and Janani couldn’t stop thinking and talking about that amazing first date with John. Janani and John continued to text and talk throughout the week she was in NYC. The day after she returned, John took her on an adventurous second date to St. Augustine. They explored the fort/city and enjoyed food/drinks, and did it all in the pouring rain. Anyone who knows Janani knows she HATES getting wet from the rain, but John’s company was a great distraction from being completely drenched. After not only one, but two amazing dates, Janani and John knew they had begun a relationship that would last a lifetime.
Janani knew that John was going to propose at some point in 2021. John joked multiple times about it happening at the end of the year, but Janani always knew better. Janani's parents, Janani, and John were all looking forward to their huge Yellowstone trip at the beginning of summer for a multitude of reasons. Janani had a feeling that it would be happening in Yellowstone and John had mentioned to Janani's parents that he was going to propose during the trip. At the spot John proposed, they ran into Janani's freshman year roommate who was on her honeymoon in Jackson Hole. She and her husband had come up to Yellowstone for the day. Janani couldn't get over the timing of the run-in and was talking about it for the next thirty minutes. When they all got to Artist Point which overlooks the Yellowstone Grand Canyon, John knew that this was where he needed to propose to Janani. Everyone started taking pictures immediately and taking in the 360 views. After already taking photos, John asked Janani to get one more photo. When they went to pose for the photo, John got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Janani's dad filmed the proposal and everyone around them clapped, cheered, and congratulated them on their engagement. Although Janani knew it was going to happen during that trip, she was truly surprised in the moment and was caught off guard, which was John's goal of wanting the proposal to be a surprise. Janani later found out that John had been carrying around the ring in his pocket since the trip started, waiting for the right picturesque spot to pop the question. The rest of the day was spent trying to get a hold of people to tell them the good news. They were only able to get a hold of Karen (John's mom) to tell her the exciting news. After realizing they weren't going to have reception or service until that evening, they decided to enjoy the rest of the day with each other and Janani's parents in one of their now favorite places.
