Let's Switch to Personal

From an IRS audit to finding love

The love story of Jan and Wade begins with an IRS audit. Following the audit they collaborated on work projects, while Wade patiently developed their friendship. Finally, one day while discussing deductions and credits, Wade said to Jan, "Let's switch to personal.....Do you have plans this weekend?" It turned out that Jan did. She was going to the West Point Inn to volunteer for a pancake breakfast. With conversational dexterity that Wade had honed in his many years of practicing law, he responded, "Oh, I've been meaning to go there! My old law school roommate, Billy, is the president." They decided to hike at Point Reyes for their first date and met at Larkspur Landing. Parking at opposite ends and meeting in the middle as Wade was coming from Oakland and Jan from Marin. As the fog cleared after their hike, they visited Tony's in Marshall, for a pint and a bite to eat. As fate would have it, the Giant's playoff game went longer than expected -- 18 innings to be exact, giving Jan and Wade lots of time to bond over their shared values: a deep-rooted love for family, adventures in nature, and enjoying the moment. Before Wade dropped Jan back at her car, he made sure they planned their next date. And on that date, Jan remembers fondly that Wade arrived with a bouquet of flowers to greet her. The theme continued -- they hiked around Phoenix Lake and had dinner at Ambrosia's in Kentfield. Jan, or "Sarge" as she is known to her close family and friends, had to test Wade's grit before she could commit. She invited him to bike to the top of Mount Tamalpais with her. Wade, never one to back down from a challenge, brought his motorcycle gloves, strapped on his helmet, and passed her test. The story continues to unfold as their dreams intertwine, while remaining rooted in their love for family, friendship, and the outdoors. They look forward to celebrating their union with you this upcoming September.

Love

No matter how old you will get, do not ever stop holding my hand and never stop dancing or saying the words, I love you.
