Maid of Honor
Hey everyone, I’m Jasmin and some may know me as Janai’s niece but in my eyes, I’m Janai’s little sister and nobody can tell me otherwise lol. Janai and i met about 24 years ago and I’d like to think we’ve been inseparable ever since. Janai is someone I’ve always looked up to in every way possible and always someone I would want to be like when I grew up. As I’ve watched Janai grow into a beautiful, exceptional young woman, I’ve also been gracious enough to meet her now fiancé, Kirk. From first meeting Kirk at their high school graduation about 13 years ago, you could always tell that he too was destined for greatness. I have had the pleasure of watching their love grow and blossom into the beautiful entity that it is now. In which I am blessed to have witnessed what true love looks like and cannot wait to see what else they have in store for the future. I wish you both nothing but true happiness, more love and bountiful blessings. I love you both so much and I am so grateful to experience this beautiful moment with you two.

You know I can still picture in my mind the first time I met Nai ! It was 7th grade and I went to my best friend’s Telly class and she introduced us and I remember Nai’s hair being in a really thick ponytail ( she had a lot of hair lol) and she turned around and said hi and that was it…our paths crossed again because of Lina ( our common denominator friend) and from there we hit it off and now we’ve been best friends for over 10years ! Wouldn’t trade her for anyone ! As for Kirk I always told Nai she would marry him even though she said she’ll never get married I knew he was the one for her instantly !

If you knew Nai at age 12 you knew Nai’s attitude and i wasn’t having it so i hated her 😂! But to really know Nai is also to love her we bonded over both having no middle names but wanting one so badly. Once we became friends and got passed both our attitudes it was history. From free mins after 7 till Mrs.Willams saying ok Janai you and Calina need to get off that phone 😂. To convincing her to let Janai go on vacation out the country with my family & Nai coming over just for my mom to make her rice. Thru all the distance between us and different stages in life over the years I’ve gained a sister in the process i know i can always count on.

I met you by being born clearly lol so it’s not much to that 😂. But you and Kirk are the epitome of high school sweethearts. Your relationship with each other is so admirable and genuine. Everyone on the outside looking in can see it. Any family event that we’ve had, just by looking at you two, the love y’all have for each other is so evident. I love you guys and wish you a long,happy, healthy marriage. & I cannot waitttttt to finally meet my little cousin 🥰

Kirk and Janai started dating when I was just 11 years old. The rest of my siblings & I always had the best time being around our older brother and nai was a great addition to that. At the time it felt like they took us everywhere with them. Whether it was the beach, an amusement park, or simply just a night in watching a movie and cooking dinner. Memories like those makes it feel like nai has been family for forever.
Best Man
When I was born, my parents had a best friend waiting for me. Growing up with an older brother has been dope. Around 13 years old, my best friend gained another best friend. This person was Janai. Now, they’re getting married. I’ve had a front row seat to see their relationship evolve. Janai is a taurus like me. I admire Janai especially for putting up with Kirk lol. These two balance each other out. Over the last 10 years, they have been like a second set of parents to my siblings and I. And it has been the greatest pleasure to see them grow up and become actual parents to my niece. I cannot wait to be by Kirk’s side and watch him continue to devote his love to Janai!

I don’t have a funny story, because there’s nothing but laughter everytime we link up! unless you want me to just tell you bare jokes we shared since 2010. However, I can share some words on the positive influence you have been in my life. I think everyone needs that “one person” that’ll tell you when you’re wrong, no matter what!, “challenges you to think differently” shit and motivates you through anything! Welp thats what you are to me big guy! Just a positive role model! I could name countless times we cracked jokes but just being a real brother stands out to me more. I am extremely happy for you! Kirk and I have had a solid frendship for over 10 years. From Delaware to Austin, no distance has stopped us from keeping in touch. Kirk is an amazing friend and mentor, the type of person who always has his best interest at heart for all his friends. His advice is always genuine and is never afraid to tell you when he disagrees with any idea or decision. Long story short, Kirk always keeps it 100 and is a very valuable friend in my life.

Where do I begin, hard to put this on paper lol. I wanna start off by saying I appreciate you for being a positive role model in my life. You never steered me in the wrong direction and have always been there for me through all stages of life. Honestly one of my closest family members to date, in what I would say is a HUGE family. There was times I spent more time over at your house than I did at mine, that just goes to show you how close we really were. From pulling all nighters watching movies, beating videos, playing the variety of sports we played growing up and now fast forward to our adult life ;We’re still here and as solid as ever. Growing up with you and the fam has been some of the best times I can remember. Looking forward to more great experiences & helping create a bond for our next generation to be as close as we were. My brother I just wanna say I love you and I wish you and Janai nothing but the best as you two embark on your journey together with baby L. I got y’all for life, I’ll always only be a phone call and a plane ride away.
