The two of us initially met in the Summer of 2020 while working virtually together. We finally got the chance to meet in person the following fall, after having kept in touch for months. We continued to become incredible friends while we explored our new city of Fort Worth together looking for all the best breweries, restaurants and the best BBQ Texas has to offer.

Joe was the one to plan our first date, and you would never believe where he picked for us to go. A Beer Emporium!! We had a wonderful dinner at The Flying Saucer where we discovered each other's quirky senses of humor. We found ourselves laughing at the Jimmy Kimmel Horse Pants Skit. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opNiKBP7hQo). It was a risky move to start a first date by showing Joe random Jimmy Kimmel videos, but it sure paid off.

While visiting Joe's sisters in Houston the family had planned a fun weekend of getting to spend time together and explore the city. Little did Janae know that the Zarkoskis had devised a different plan for the weekend. On the way to dinner one night the group stopped by the Water Wall in Houston to take pictures. Joe asked Janae if she wanted to get pictures in front of the wall (which he never wants to take pictures), but since the water was splashing off the wall, it was windy and they were all dressed up for dinner Janae wasn't too keen on the idea of freezing to get pictures. With much persistence Joe convinced her to go take photos, where he proceeded to get on his knee and pull out a ring. The water from the wall was so loud that Janae had no clue what he said, but continued to smile, nod yes and happy cry until he got up. It was later confirmed where she could hear that he did indeed ask her to marry him.
