Stuart and Jana met on a Saturday afternoon at the Camden Belmont pool. We have mutual friends that all decided to meet at the pool to hang out. Jana spotted Stuart right away, and he simply wanted nothing to do with her! As time passed at the pool, Stuart became more intrigued by Jana's charming personality. Unfortunately, the week after we met, Jana went to visit Mallori in Boston, and Stuart went to a wedding in California. Once we returned back to Texas, he finally asked Jana on a date. We had our first date on Monday, July 1st, at Ida Clare in Addison. The following weekend, on July 12th, Stuart locked Jana down and asked her to be his girlfriend! The rest is history!
In the middle of this past June, Stuart booked a trip to Vail, Colorado, only a week before departure. Jana was curious if he was going to propose, so, naturally, she searched their apartment for a ring every single day before the trip. She found nothing. Once we arrived in Vail, Stuart told Jana to get his phone charger out of his backpack while driving the car to the condo. She picked up his backpack and felt something hard and square at the bottom. She immediately thought THIS IS THE RING! So, she waited all night for it. No proposal! The next morning, Monday, Jana chugged her coffee and told Stuart she was going to change clothes upstairs. She sprinted up the stairs and searched his backpack to find the ring box. Unfortunately, what she thought was a ring box... was a laptop charger. Devastated and tearful, she had given up the hope of a beautiful Vail proposal. That night, we made chili and opened a bottle of red wine. We went up to the top of our condo that overlooked the mountains, and it finally happened. Stuart got down on a knee and asked Jana to marry him!! The ring was in his sunglasses case.... ladies, check there first!
