Elk Meadow Park

Tons of trails for walking, biking, and running with pretty views of evergreen and lots of open field space. Our favorite place to walk our dog in the early morn or sunset before it gets too hot.

Lair o’ the Bear Park

22550 Colorado 74, Idledale, CO 80453

Walking trails all along the creek to take swims or hang out when it's hot - great for biking or trail running as well. Morrison town and Red Rocks are right below this to go check out or grab lunch.

D'Deli

The best deli sandwiches and easy lunch to go option or enjoy outside in downtown Golden - owned by a friend and one of our favorite summer midday stops.

Mount Falcon Lookout Trail

Morrison, CO 80465

The Mount Falcon Lookout Trail is a 1.5-mile, easy-to-moderate trail located in Jefferson County's Mount Falcon Park near Morrison, CO, featuring roughly 180–200 feet of elevation gain. This well-maintained, popular trail provides quick access to stunning views of the Front Range, Red Rocks Amphitheater, and the Denver skyline via the Eagle Eye Shelter.

Clear Creek, Grant Ferry Trails Loop

21100 US Highway 6, Golden, CO 80403

This is a great route for walking, running, or pushing a stroller for a few miles through a lovely wooded creekside park. The route as mapped here makes use of the Clear Creek Trail and the Grant Ferry Trail. You can hike this route in either direction and if you're looking for a longer or shorter hike, this route can be easily modified to fit your needs.
