Jamesa & Priscilla

BouquetBouquet

Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Gerri Paul

Maid of Honor

From Queens, where we grew up, to Brooklyn, where we both live now (3 blocks away from each other), I've never been far from my sister, Priscie. She's championed and supported me from before I could speak, in more ways than I can count. She's had a hand in many of the things I'm most grateful for and has helped me make decisions that have shaped my life -- do you know anyone else that would create a powerpoint, carefully analyzing your options, to help you make a decision?! She's been my role model and has taught me so much, most recently about the joy you open yourself up to by being your authentic self. After spoiling me for so many years, I cannot wait to celebrate and relish in the beginning of this joyous next chapter with my sister and her bride (my bonus sister!!), Jamesa.

Jasmine Howard

Maid of Honor

I met Jamesa on the first day of 5th grade! I graciously (being a kind angel) let her skip me in line because she was tardy for the party! It’s been besties for the resties ever since!! We have experienced so many things together it’s hard to name them all, but if I did I wouldn’t exclude the time we prank called a Subway and asked for a job by listing all the menu prices from a photo in our high school year book hahaha! She’s literally my sister! We've grown up together! We shared our first jobs together, she was my college roommate, and she has shown me all over NYC! I’m grateful and blessed that we have remained close for over 20 years! I’m happy to share these wedding moments and that we will make more memories! I am SO happy for her and Priscilla and can’t wait to celebrate this love!

Hasani Tyus

Man of Honor

Priscilla Paul is my emotional-support human, financial advisor, sing-shamer, Excel influencer and all around best friend. We met as recent transplants to the Bay area. I initially was struck by how kind and short she was. We bonded over waffles at a restaurant that's since been condemned by the health department and I was quickly won over by her wit and biting humor. We became close quickly, being there for each other as we traversed life's ups and downs. Although we now live on opposite coasts, we've remained a constant in each other's lives, as travel companions, sources of endless laughter and a shoulder to cry on. I've been so happy to see the impact Jamesa has had on Priscilla's life and I'm beyond elated to be here for this next chapter and to celebrate their love.

They say that cousins are your first friends and your forever friends. From our days of taking dance classes together to the always eventful sleepovers and family events, we’ve always been side by side laughing and having a good time. Even in adulthood, the distance hasn't slowed us down or wavered our connection. Can't wait to embark on this next adventure with you, as I get to stand by you on your wedding day.

Priscilla and I met in a travel group. We immediately connected due to our love of travel. Over the years we have gone to brunches, dinners, events and of course trips foreign and domestic thanks to Priscilla's A-plus plus planning and organizing skills. She is an amazing friend and always willing to have a good time. I was introduced to Jamesa celebrating Priscilla's birthday. You could tell right away that they were so comfortable and happy with each other. They showed off their matching bikes and regaled me about their picnics in the park (So cute!). I was so honored to be a part of Priscilla's engagement preparations for Jamesa and could feel their love. I am so happy to be a part of this special day and I wish them nothing but love, passion, understanding and adventure.

On paper, Jamesa Ewing is my cousin on my dad’s side, but in reality, she has been so much more to me than that. She was my first friend, often the coolest kid I knew, and someone I could be honest with at all times. We share so many great memories, from seeing all the B2K concerts and sitting in the front row to spending some of the best summers of my life on her mom’s porch in East Nashville a.k.a “OUT EAST”. I miss hearing her dad say, “Hey, Big Nose!”, that’s what he would call me, and I loved hearing him say it every time. Jamesa is not only my cousin - she is my best friend, my second sister, one of my most favorite people in this world. Thank you for always being there for me. I love you so much and so happy for you❤️!

Bridesmaid

I met Priscilla in graduate school. She organized events for the Minority grad student association. Soon after we began enjoying traveling, the beach and most of all food together. A small club at graduate school has developed into many memories, good times and experiences all over the world .

Jamesa and I started roller derby basic training around the same time. We learned together, tried out for teams together, played in away games against terrifying people together. We quickly became not just roller derby friends, but actual, real-life friends. We have seen each other through quite a few celebrations and challenges over the last few years, and I can’t imagine my life without our friendship! I am honored to be part of such a special day, and cannot wait to celebrate you both as you start your next chapter together!
