How Kevin and Kellie met is quite the wild ride, so you might want to buckle your seatbelts for this one. Our story could not have been possible without the existence of a very important individual named Justin. It could be argued that without Justin, Kevin and Kellie would have remained complete strangers. Their story would be incomplete without talking a little bit about his first, so here we go. Justin was a mild-mannered kid from Louisville, Kentucky. He was ambitious. He’s the kind of guy who’d put his head down and get the job done. He excelled all throughout school, so much that he even found himself getting accepted to Harvard Business School (you read that right, Harvard). Justin enrolled in Harvard Business School, where he continued to do what he always did best: succeed. There was just one small problem. Justin was distracted. He was still heartbroken from the ending of his last relationship. You see, Justin had been dumped by the love of his life. It left him in shambles. How was he supposed to move forward if he was still stuck in the past? These were dark times. All his life, Justin had been a “relationship guy.” He always wanted the real deal. So he decided that in order to cope with the loss of his ex, he’d create something. Find a solution, like he always did. So he worked with a couple of friends to make something that would help people around the world find their forever partner. He worked tirelessly. There were many sleepless nights. It took him some time, but he had finally done it. His creation would allow others to accomplish what he always dreamed of: finding true love. And that’s when Justin McLeod launched Hinge. Kellie and Kevin would end up meeting on this app a decade after its inception, modern-day romance style. Crazy story, right?

March 2022: Kevin and Kellie are both living in Philadelphia, PA. Kellie is finishing up PA school and Kevin is working full-time. They match on Hinge only to find they live about a 5 minute walk apart from one another. May 2022: The two are dating and Kellie graduates from PA school. She accepts a job outside Philly. July 2022: Kevin moves back to Cleveland and accepts a new job. Kellie moves into a house in Conshohocken, PA. Long distance alert!! July 2023: Fast forward 1 year and Kevin and Kellie are still going strong as a long distance couple. Hoping to tighten the gap and progress the relationship, Kellie decides to move to Lakewood, Ohio and the two move in together. This also marks Kellie's first experience as a cat owner (love you Binx <3). December 2023: Kevin and Kellie decide that the pet ownership thing is going really well and adopt another cat. They name her Persie. Little did they know most of their time would be spent making sure the two cats don't kill one another (so far so good). August 2024: Kevin and Kellie go on vacation to Hawaii and come back as an engaged couple!

In August 2024, Kevin and Kellie took a vacation to Kauai, Hawaii (their first vacation just as a couple and Kevin's first vacation in 4 years). They attended a luau which ended around 8:00pm, so naturally they were ready to go to sleep. Kevin suggested they take the long walk back to the room on a path along the beach. They stopped along the way to look up at the clear sky, just the two of them and the nearby crashing waves. Kevin then popped the question, under a sky full of stars and a full moon. Kellie said yes and they celebrated the remainder of their vacation as an engaged couple!
