The text from June 27, 2018 says it all: "Hi Michele! I don't know if you remember me but this is Jamil. We met at Missy's birthday party a while back and I hope it's okay that she gave me your number. If it's not okay, and you're totally freaked out, please disregard this message. I promise I won't stalk you for too much longer. 😁 " ... she wasn't freaked out.

We were in Sonoma, taking a break from the 2020 madness. We went wine tasting during the day and then came back to the hotel and got ready to go "grab a drink" at Jack's parents house (or so Michele thought). When we arrived at their house, Jamil noted, "Jack said they’re sitting by the redwood tree in the back", so we started walking to the back. As we were walking through vines, "Marry Me" by Train was playing on speakers. When we arrived at the redwood tree, no one was there and Jamil said, "Hmm let me call Jack." When he reached into his jacket, he pulled out a small box instead of a phone. He knelt on one knee and popped the question. After a tearful and very excited, "yes", Michele noticed Bianca scurrying from the vines taking pictures. Following a short photo session, Michele asked who knew. Jamil said, "Your dad does and probably your mom, but let's go around to the barn, I think Matt and Jack are there." As we walked into the barn, Michele realized that both of their families were there to celebrate. It was the icing on the cake!
