Our Story
In 2015, Tebias sent Jamilah a Facebook message after spotting her photo on a mutual friend’s profile. His first words, “Hola”—thinking Jamilah, who was vacationing in Costa Rica, spoke Spanish. To his delight, she responded! After weeks of chatting, we had our first date, and within a month, we officially became a couple.
Our first vacation together was a road trip in 2016 to VA to celebrate the wedding of close friends. It marked the start of countless adventures as we became best friends and travel buddies. Together, we dreamed about the future and grew in our careers.
Over the years, we’ve explored Miami, Vegas, Colombia, Jamaica, and even Paris. Paris, the city of love, held special significance—Tebias dreamed of proposing there but waited for the perfect moment.
That moment finally came on Christmas Day 2023 when Tebias got down on one knee, making the holiday season unforgettable.
Now, as we prepare to say “I do,” we’re thrilled to celebrate our next chapter with all of you!
