Who knows when it happened, but it happened. It could have been over a campfire song, or maybe a random carnation sent in high school. It could have happened during sporadic messages throughout the years catching up, or maybe over a love of calamari at Molasses in little old Halifax. It definitely wasn't over a shared love of the Hokies, but maybe a friendly rivalry over who the best team in VA really is... (H-O-K-I-E-S -- in case you're wondering!) It’s hard to say when it happened. Eugene and I have known each other for what seems like forever; and no matter what was going in our lives, we could pick up where we left off, like nothing had changed. That spark was always there, but the timing was never right. The one day – our timing was right and it just clicked into place. So, who can say when our story started, we sure can’t, – but we are so excited to share this next chapter with our closest friends and family in March.

I thought we were unboxing a new work bench. Turns out the work bench was not the only thing being unboxed that night. After asking for help unpacking his new work bench, I turned around to talk to B while Eugene was opening the box. When I turned back to him, there he was on his knee with a box... and then in true Eugene fashion... "So, you want to do it?" It. Was. Perfect.
