Take 2: Let's Celebrate!

Jamie was feeling adventurous, she had just moved from The Valley to oceanside Santa Monica, California. Loving life, she jogged to the beach everyday, when she saw a bright blue neon sign on a new apartment building called “Sway.” That blue sign intrigued her, like a moth to a flame. The building was quintessential Southern California living, so Jamie research Sway on Instagram and discovered a poolside happy hour October 22, 2015. Not one to miss an opportunity, Jamie checked out the happy hour to yummy eat snacks and meet new friends. She had no idea she would meet her new best friend. To Jamie's surprise, the door was locked! Confused but undeterred Jamie waited for some unsuspecting tenants to walk out and she slipped into the party. Jamie loved the happy hour vibe - it was nerdy-awkward-chic, reminding her of her UCLA engineering days. Enjoying herself, she laughed boisterously with several self-proclaimed “carpenters.” Apparently, the happy hour was only for Sway residents, oooopps!! And the “carpenters” or turned out to be a bunch of orthopedic surgeons. To Jamie’s left was a handsome stranger. This handsome stranger was Jake. Jamie and Jake laughed and talked about food, Santa Monica and life. As they chatted, Jamie felt a distinctive beat of her heart, but she decided to leave and prepare for a modeling shoot. As she began to walk away, Jake blurted out, “I think I should get your number.” The rest is history. Jamie and Jake went on a wonderful first date Halloween 2015 to Esters in Santa Monica dining on wine and cheese. A few months later Jake got a job in New York, and Jamie followed him to the Big Apple. Then, in Antigua on Jamie’s birthday February 9th 2019, Jake asked Jamie to marry him. #jamiejake2020
