FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire is requested. This means suits, knee-length or longer dresses, and snazzy jumpsuits or separates. Our theme is sunset glam, so we encourage you to embrace color and whimsy! Be fun and fabulous. No need to break out the black tie attire, but please no blue jeans, and no white or ivory dresses.

Question

What is the COVID-19 policy?

Answer

Please test for COVID before coming to any wedding event, regardless of symptoms. If you test positive for COVID, please stay home and rest. If you test negative but feel sick or are experiencing any symptoms such as fever, cough, loss of smell or taste, fatigue, or digestive symptoms the day before or day of the event, please stay home and rest. We love you and want to celebrate with you, but not at the cost of your or others’ health. Text us, and we will find another time to celebrate. Our wedding ceremony will take place outdoors, cocktail hour will take place outdoors, and the reception will be indoors. (If it rains, everything will be indoors.) We will have HEPA air filters inside at Gramercy to help minimize transmission, and will keep doors open and windows cracked where available to encourage air flow. We are not requiring masks, but KN95 masks in wedding colors will be available! You are also welcome to wear a mask at any point–please do whatever makes you feel safe and comfortable. If you are unable to follow these protocols, which were created with loving care at the forefront of our minds, we ask that you reconsider attending the in-person event, and we will find a way to safely celebrate another time. Please let us know if this is your intention.

Question

Can I bring someone?

Answer

Please only bring the people specifically invited by name on your invitation. As much as we would love to celebrate with everyone, we are limited by how many people we can fit into this space.

Question

What's the order of events?

Answer

Luckily, everything is happening at Gramercy Mansion, so once you arrive, you will be guided from one event to the next. The ceremony will begin at 4pm, and around 4:45pm, cocktail hour will begin, with appetizers, drinks, and entertainment. Around 6:00pm, the reception will start, with dinner, toasts, and dancing all happening inside. The wedding will wrap up around 9:00pm at Gramercy Mansion, but across the property, we will have a 'wind down' from 9:00pm to 11:00pm for anyone still in the mood to celebrate!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, Gramercy Mansion has plenty of parking onsite. It is also accessible via Lyft or Uber.

Question

What's your last name?

Answer

We are both keeping our names! So Alex Thierer and Jamiee Foster will remain Alex Thierer and Jamiee Foster.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! While your presence is present enough for us, we are registered via Zola. The link is here: https://www.zola.com/wedding/jamieeandalex/registry

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Doors will open at 3:30pm! The ceremony will begin at 4pm, so please arrive with time to park and find your seat at the venue. We will have signs and designated folks to help guide you to the right place, but once the ceremony and processional starts, no one will be allowed to walk down the aisle. If you're running late, we will see you at cocktail hour or the reception.

Question

Can I bring my kid(s)?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. We love your kids (truly we do!), but this is largely an adults only event. We apologize for any inconvenience and understand if this impacts your plans, and look forward to seeing you and your kids another time.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, you can do this when you RSVP. We will work with the caterer to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions, and will reach out if we have questions.

Question

Is there transportation available to nearby hotels?

Answer

No, we are not providing transportation since so many of our guests are local.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 14, 2024. This will allow us to get the numbers we need to our venue and caterer. If you don't RSVP, unfortunately there will not be a seat or dinner for you at the wedding.
