We recommend carpooling to the ceremony and then returning to your accommodations to drop your car off, put on your dancing shoes and uber or Lyft down to the museum.
We recommend carpooling to the ceremony, taking your time coming down hwy1 (or even head North on the 1 for about 5 minutes to Swanton Berry Farm for a trip back in time and some of the best jam your taste buds have ever had.) Cruise back to town and park at one of the parking structures in downtown Santa Cruz (River & Front, Soquel & Front). Afte the reception if a DD isn't present, your parking pass is good for overnight so you can uber back to your accommodations if need be and come grab your car in the morning.
Across from the adorable town of Davenport on the ocean side, there are three distinct gravel pull out parking lots. Park at any of these and you will see signs pointing you towards a cypress tree grove atop the bluffs. You'll dip down over the railroad tracks, and up the other side where you will see a flower adorned chuppah and some chairs set up.
We're providing limited seating for our short and sweet ceremony. If able or wanting, bring a blanket or chair. There are restrooms located in the parking lots, however, as you might imagine, they are public port-a-potty's. We can't control the weather. In June, in Santa Cruz we have a good chance of it being absolutely stunning, but you never know. We recommend bringing some extra layers if the fog decides to come in...make it warm, but make it fashion.
Yes! The galleries are open from 5-6p. Starting at 5 we'll be drinking cocktails, grazing on charcuterie and exploring the museum's 3 floors of galleries and exhibitions Wind your way up the staircase and take a couple sips while overlooking Santa Cruz from the rooftop sculpture garden.
Tacos! No need to put down a preference or restrictions, we've worked hard to have something for everyone. You'll be able to choose from chicken, fish, carnitas, veggies, with rice and beans from a walk-up taco bar made right before your very eyes! Toppings galore! Quesadilla option for the kiddos!
Yes! On Sunday (late) morning, we're going to roust our still-buzzing, hungover bodies out of bed and meet at Seabright Beach for some of Santa Cruz' finest Bagelry bagels, schmear, and coffee.
