We're Getting Married!

We know the wedding is coming up quick and is also a plane ride away for many of our loved ones; so we understand if you are not able to make it to Texas. We know you will be with us in spirit, and we will likely have a casual northern celebration this fall.

Taylor and Jamie met in February 2018 in College Station, Texas. Jamie had recently graduated from Texas A&M and was working as a barista at a local coffee shop called Lupa’s Coffee. Taylor was working on his PhD at Texas A&M and spent a lot of his time at Lupa’s. One day, Taylor decided to sit at the bar while Jamie was working. They started chatting and hit it off immediately. After her shift ended, Jamie sat next to Taylor and they talked for hours! The conversation was exhilarating; they shared a lot with each other in this short amount of time, and probably solved a few of life’s major problems. ;P During this initial conversation, Jamie mentioned one of her most recent reads: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. They eventually said goodbye and relied on seeing each other at the coffee shop here and there. A few mornings later, Taylor brought a book that he’d recommended, so Jamie returned the favor by bringing The Alchemist the next morning. Taylor took it to the back room for a few hours, then came up to the bar, put a piece of paper on the bar and said, “I finished the book and took notes; when should we meet to talk about it?” Jamie was so impressed and thinks this is the moment she fell in love with him. They met the next evening for their first official date, and the rest is history!
