Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are MOST welcome! We chose a church and a reception venue specifically because of their kid friendlyness. The reception will have a splash pad, jungle gym, working carousel, and is on the beach. So bring some towels and a change of clothes for little ones and adults! However, if you want a night of adult fun and want to leave the kids at home, we can help you find babysitting services in the area.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking at the ceremony and reception, but we will also be offering a shuttle to the reception from downtown New Haven so you can fully enjoy yourself and still stay safe

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No. There is plenty of parking at the church. There will be a gap between the end of the ceremony and the beginning of the cocktail hour at 4:30 so you will have plenty of time to drive to the reception venue or to drive to the Omni hotel to take the shuttle to the reception.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

While it will be New Haven in the summer, and the reception will be on a beach with a splash pad and a carousel, we want everyone to be comfortable and have fun but still respect the ceremony at the church. We ask that you dress in suits, lighter colors and fabrics are fine, and in dresses. Feel free to bring a change of clothes for later in the evening or for chasing around rugrats.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a block of hotel rooms reserved at the Omni. New Haven also has a Marriott downtown and other hotels in the surrounding cities. New Haven is also home to many AirBnB's and other rental services such as VRBO.
