Flight
Louis Armstrong (MSY) is the closest and easiest airport to get in and out of the city. Located only about 20 minutes from downtown New Orleans it's perfect for out of town guests to fly into.
House Or Rental
Websites like AirBnB and VRBO are great for finding places that are in the heart of the city, where you can really live like a local. Neighborhoods we love are Mid City, Lower Garden District, Warehouse District, and of course the French Quarter.
Hotel
We love this hotel! Located in the Central Business District - it straddles the line between the French Quarter and the Warehouse District. You can get anywhere you want quickly. It doesn't hurt that it is located only a block away from Sarah's favorite restaurant - Mother's. It's trendy, modern, and has an awesome restaurant.
Hotel
Are you looking for a classic New Orleans hotel? Look no further than the Monteleone, located in the heart of the French Quarter. You must have a drink at the world famous Carousel Bar and watch the crowds pass by on Royal Street. Some say it's haunted - we just say it's fun!
Travel Note
Use NORTA's famous Streetcars whenever you can! As streetcars glide underneath grand live oaks and past stately mansions, they offer up relaxing views of the beauty, charm, and history of New Orleans. When riders board these historic vehicles, they are boarding a piece of movable New Orleans history. One way fares: $1.25.
