Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Whimsical Cocktail We want you to look amazing but, most importantly, feel ready to celebrate with us! Think polished cocktail attire with a playful twist. Ladies, flowy dresses, bold florals, or pops of color are perfect—bonus points for shoes made for dancing! Gentlemen, sharp suits are always in style, but we love a little flair—try a fun tie, colorful socks, or a pocket square that shows your personality. Come dressed to eat, dance, and make unforgettable memories with us—we can’t wait to see your style!

Question

What time should I arrive at the wedding?

Answer

A traditional Jewish wedding begins with Kabalat Panim or the receiving of guests which will act as a cocktail hour with a few additional traditions mixed in. Guests should arrive at 4pm to partake in the cocktail hour and join the festivities. The ceremony follows from there so you won't miss that even if you're running a little bit late.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! The parking lot is located in front of the venue. When you arrive, don’t be surprised if the exterior seems understated—just look for the Factory220 sign on the side of the building.

Question

How can I get to the venue from NYC?

Answer

If you're coming from NYC by Public Transportation: The nearest train station is Garfield and from there it's a short 10 minute Uber to the venue. To take the train, it does require a transfer at Secaucus to the Bergen train line. We are happy to help coordinate carpools from the city in advance, so please let us know if you need help finding a ride and we will try our best to match you.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes you can! The wedding will be fully kosher with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free considerations. If you have any other allergies (nuts?) and forgot to include it in your RSVP, please send an email to jrkm210@gmail.com with your name and dietary concerns.

Question

I've never been to a Jewish Wedding before, what can I expect?

Answer

The Jewish wedding begins with a cocktail hour called a Kabalat Panim (greeting the guests). During this time there will be food and drink and Jamie and Raffi will be in separate spaces. The Bride is considered like a queen on her wedding day, so Jamie will be positioned in the main room where guests can see her and wish her a Mazal Tov when they arrive. Guests will have the option to flow between the main room where Jamie will be and the Tisch room where Raffi will be. Tisch is the Yiddish word for Table and is the space where the groom celebrates in preparation for his wedding. There Raffi will be joined by guests who will sing and toast until it's time to bring the two together. Towards the end of the Cocktail hour, there is something called the Badeken: Raffi will be brought over to Jamie with music and dancing from the Tisch room. There, they will sign the Ketubah (Jewish marriage license), recite some private blessings and have a special moment together. Raffi will cover Jamie with her veil and this will signal we're ready to move onto the ceremony!
