What happens in Vegas… apparently leads to marriage. While Jamie was playing basketball in the Las Vegas Invitational with the Barons, Nick was hundreds of miles away in Vallejo spending time with friends. Little did they know, fate, better known as Kirsten Shimizu, was about to step in. That weekend, Kirsten (and now our officiant!) had a plan up her sleeve. With Jamie’s older cousin, Cydni, giving her stamp of approval, Kirsten told Jamie about Nick, insisting they would look really cute together and had to meet. After a few conversations, plenty of laughs, and realizing just how intertwined their worlds already were, Jamie and Nick went on their first date. The rest quickly fell into place. What began as a friend playing matchmaker turned into a partnership built on love, respect, and endless inside jokes. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you and share in the joy of our wedding day together.
