The saying goes "you'll find love when you least expect it" stands true for our relationship. I've known Jamie since high school, but it wasn't until several years later that our relationship began. On the Fourth of July in 2015, Jamie's family and his cousin's family joined my family at our beach house on The Isle of Palms. Prior to Jamie's arrival, his cousin, Cameron said to me, "I think you and Jamie will end up dating." Little did I know how correct he would be! Our relationship has spanned the course of both undergraduate and Physician Assistant school in separate cities, hundreds of miles apart from one another. I can't begin to count the thousands of miles driven between High Point, NC and Summerville, SC, and I'm so thankful that chapter has come to an end and a new one has begun. Jamie and I are excited to begin the next chapter of our lives together and are thankful for everyone who has played a part in it thus far.
We knew this phone call would come, but we were hoping and praying it wouldn’t. Unfortunately, yesterday we were notified by our venue that all events scheduled through April are postponed, including our wedding. Jamie and I are absolutely devastated, but given the health risk COVID-19 poses, the health and well being of our friends and family remains a top priority and ultimately we know this is the best decision. Thank you to all of our friends and family who have been so supportive in these uncertain times. We know that although it may be hard to understand, God is at work creating something even better for the two of us. Jamie and I cannot wait to pick our new date soon, but for now #CountdowntoCanadayContinues
