HOW FAR IS THE RESORT FROM THE AIRPORT?

- The resort is located 20 minutes from Cancun International airport.

TRANSPORTATION-HOW DO I GET TO THE RESORT FROM THE AIRPORT?

Answer

Once your flight is purchased you can arrange transportation from the airport to the resort by contacting our travel account manager Marrida (Marrida@luxedestinationweddings.com or 416.583.2023) for the best rates. Another option is using a taxi service when exiting the airport though it may be more costly at that time.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY STAY AT THE RESORT?

Answer

-Stays will include accommodation, food, drinks (alcohol & non-alcohol), activities, and entertainment. The resort has 9 restaurants and 12 bars (including swim up bar!) Please see resort website for names of all restaurants and bars. It is recommended to bring additional funds for other amenities or additional activities such as the on-site casino, spa, gift shops, and excursions.

- Check-in at 3:00pm EST and check-out is 12:00pm EST, however upon request and subject to availability, you may arrange to check in or out at a different time.

- Yes, there is complimentary access to Wifi throughout the entire resort

WILL I NEED TO DO A CURRENCY EXCHANGE ?

Answer

- No a currency exchange is not required but optional. For your convenience the Royalton Riviera Cancun offers an on-site ATM as well as currency exchange services at the Front Desk.

IS THERE CELL SERVICE AT THE RESORT?

Answer

YES, BUT! We recommend using Wifi for making Audio calls, FaceTime, and texting if your phone allows. Please talk to your current provider about what options you have for traveling to Mexico.

CAN I USE AN ENHANCED LICENSE TO ENTER MEXICO?

Answer

No, unfortunately enhanced driver license cannot be used for air travel.

IS IT SAFE TO TRAVEL OFF THE RESORT?

Answer

Though there is plenty of fun and activities on the resort, if you plan to venture out please note that Cancun remains one of the safest travel destinations in Mexico, due to massive efforts made by the local government. When traveling off the resort be sure to stay in local tourist areas such as Avenida Kukulkán which is the main strip in Cancun. Most hotels are located directly on the street. On Kukulkan you can find shopping plazas, high end restaurants, local restaurants, nightlife etc. If you decide to plan any excursions while on your stay it is recommended to use trusted tour companies which can be scheduled directly through the resort on arrival.

ARE YOU REQUIRED TO GET A COVID-19 TEST TO FLY BACK INTO THE U.S?

Answer

Air passengers traveling to the US are required to present a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery taken within 3 calendar days of travel. Testing is offered on the resort for all guests. Testing can be scheduled on day of arrival for $65 USD. We will keep this question updated periodically as guidelines change.
