Question

What is your "Plan B" if you have to postpone due to Covid-19?

Answer

Since Covid-19 already made us postpone the wedding to April 9th 2021, we aren't doing it again. The show must go on this time! We hope that you can still join us on this new date. We will not be rescheduling the wedding a second time. If Covid is still an issue, and you do not feel comfortable attending our wedding in April, we will understand. We truly mean that. Everyone has to do what is best for their own family, so please, do not be afraid to decline our invitation. We promise we will still love you!

Question

Am I allowed to bring a guest?

Answer

While we would love to invite everybody, we are unable to accommodate everyone due to budget and space restrictions. Please refer to your addressed invitation.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail Attire: Ladies can wear cocktail dresses or jump suits, and gentlemen can wear suits with ties or sport coats.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year

Answer

BEAUTIFUL! We are in the sweet spot for Florida weather. This time of year is usually when the humidity is still low and the temperatures are comfortable. Average high is around 82 and low is around 63 at this time of year. Don't worry though if that still sounds too hot. You can be inside the entire time.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled.

Question

Are children invited to the wedding ceremony?

Answer

Please refer to your wedding invitation envelope that you received in the mail. If your childrens' names are on the envelope, they are invited to the wedding. Only children directly related to the bride or groom have been included in the wedding ceremony invitation.

Question

Are children invited to the reception?

Answer

UPDATE!! YES!! As we have recently learned many guests will not be able to attend our wedding, we are now able to open up the reception to anyone under 21 that was invited to the wedding ceremony. Please refer to your wedding invitation envelope that you received in the mail. If your childrens' names are on the envelope, they are invited to the wedding AND now the reception as well! Only children directly related to the bride or groom have been included in the invitations.

Question

If I am coming from out of town and prefer getting childcare for the night, who would you suggest I reach out to?

Answer

Doublemint Sitting Services will be able to accommodate any babysitting needs for the night. They can even group kids together and have multiple sitters if preferred. Contact Synthia Fairmen at 813-606-0129 in March to coordinate.

Question

What happens after the ceremony? Is there a gap in time between the wedding and reception?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around 30 minutes. Guests can head straight from the ballroom to the main house where we will be serving apps and beverages for cocktail hour. Reception will begin at 7:00 back in the ballroom.

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception?

Answer

We will have light bites during cocktail hour and a sit down meal during the reception. Please let us know if you have any specific dietary needs.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding ceremony on social media?

Answer

We invite you to be fully present with us during this monumental moment in our lives. We've hired a professional photographer to capture its significance, so please, no cameras, cell phones or other electronics until after the ceremony.

Question

Can I take and post pictures AFTER the ceremony on social media?

Answer

Heck Yes! We highly encourage guests to take and post pictures on to their social media channels. Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #nguyenforkeeps so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Question

What time is the reception scheduled to end?

Answer

We have reserved the Orlo House until 10:00 pm, however tomfoolery may ensue elsewhere.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We have a block reserved at the brand new Hyatt Place Downtown Tampa Hotel located very close to the Orlo. Feel free to book at any downtown Tampa hotel you prefer. There are several within a 5 minute drive to the Orlo. Please refer to our travel page for additional hotel and hotel block information.

Question

What are my transportation options?

Answer

We want everyone to responsibly have a night without worry. We encourage you to take an Uber or Lift to the venue. If driving, there will be complimentary valet service at the Orlo as well.

Question

Where is your registry?

Answer

We are currently living in a humble apartment with little room for additions. We are bursting with excitement to start the next chapter of our lives together in our first home. The most valued gift, besides your presence, would be funds to help us in our first home purchase. We will have a card box at the reception. We appreciate any and all contributions!

Question

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

We are planning a Friends and Family day-after event at Armature Works. Details of the event are on our schedule page.

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “No,” so we can plan accordingly.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

We would greatly appreciate your response online by February 28th, 2021 so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Since the wedding was postponed, do I need to update my RSVP?

Answer

Unless you have to change your RSVP response, you do not have to resubmit your RSVP.

Question

If I am uncomfortable attending your wedding, will you be upset if I decline attending?

Answer

Not at all. We understand that the times have changed and weddings may never feel the same again. If you are uncomfortable attending, we are not going to be upset with you for not coming. We would rather you follow your heart, than feel uncomfortable and unsafe at our event.

Question

What kinds of things do you plan on doing to make us feel safer at your wedding?

Answer

We plan to distance chairs at the ceremony, not over crowd the reception tables, allow people to wear masks, and have hand sanitizers throughout the venue.
