We love because he first loved us

Justin and I met at Camp Beechpoint in Michigan. We were both serving as RA's at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. This camp was a time for RA's to retreat and train for the upcoming semester. What we did not know was that it was actually where we would meet our future spouse! The initial meeting was not love at first sight. Justin introduced himself on the dock as he waited to go tubing. In my mind, the first impression was that of your "stereotypical bro" from California. Fortunately, our dear friends Jed and Hannah started dating and basically set us up! Justin convinced me that the four of us should spend more time together as friends, and he planned a day to make Christmas ornaments for his floor. I was unaware that this was really a plot to spend more time with me. He invited me to Target to buy supplies for the ornaments, and that Target trip ended with an invitation for a first date. It was also where I realized that this wasn't a "stereotypical bro" but rather an incredible man of God who would eventually become the love of my life. Here we are, many dates, a few target trips, and hundreds of days later, and so excited to spend the rest of them together!
