Our Story (Josh's Perspective)

As life goes in the dating world, some of us find our ways to the many types of dating apps. Some of us get the right luck and some of us are not so lucky. I was scrolling through one such app, bumble and come across this very pretty girl. One picture is her at Disney and her smile was enough to send a zing to my heart. Something about her made me know I had to send a message. We matched. It was setting up. Later as I go in I see to see if she messaged me, she disappeared from my matches. I went ahead and said dang and deleted the app. Then a few days later I opened Hinge to search again (yes I know, can't find a good date without using the important tools). And bam, there she was again. First one to show up. My heart skipped. I knew I had to message. I had to try, just to even see. So I come up with a masterfully message. The picture of choice was her leaning against a pool on a cruise ship, with a big Bud Light in her hand. The message to draw her in? "Wow a classy drink for a classy lady!" Nailed it. Then she responds. A message back and forth and before you know it we have a date. Rainbow Sushi for the sushi lover (Jamie). I get all dressed and ready and we meet, her smile is even cuter in person. A sweet laugh, just a wonderful woman. Spending our dinner nerding out, talking, laughing and learning about each other. She had such beautiful eyes that swept me away. We walk to her car after and I say goodbye, she looks up and leans in. We kiss, and it would have been perfect if not for my slightly over grown mustache. Fast forward a few dates, we talk more, learn about each other more. I feel myself falling more. We talk more serious this time; goals, life plans, family plans. And we all had shared views on the important things. I knew she was the one. And now here we are, engaged, on our way to being two in one. To always laugh, smile, goof off and love with each other.

Our Story (Jamie's Perspective)

A lifetime of happiness all started with a dating app. Who would have thought? After so many failed attempts at the dating world I was about to give up. I had decided to narrow my search down to one app and deleted bumble…apparently with terrible timing since I didn’t get to see we matched and just deleted it without opening the app first. A few days later I decided to give hinge a shot again and right when I opened the app I saw I had a match. I see this tall handsome man smiling back at me. He sends me a message that instantly makes me laugh. He says “Classy drink for a classy lady” while I’m holding a Bud Light. Haven’t met in person and you’re already making me laugh, I knew this was going to be a good one. We made the decision to go on a sushi date later that week. (My favorite food of course) I got to the restaurant a few minutes before him. He pulled in the spot behind me but he didn’t know I was there. I saw him get out of his car and I think my heart stopped for a second. Instant butterflies. It ended up being the best first date I have ever had. At the end of the date he walked me to my car, I looked up at him, and we kiss. There was no way I wasn’t going to kiss this man. Instant butterflies all over again. (It was an amazing kiss, mustache and all) I was so excited after the date I called my mom and told her “I’m pretty sure this is it. This is the one.” I have never been so happy to be right before. Here we are almost two years later, engaged, and falling more in love with each other every day. My best friend always and forever.
