Jackson Square is a historical place and sits right in front of the Cathedral and Cabildo in the French Quarter. Muriel's Restaurant is outside of Jackson Square and has a great Jazz Brunch. There is street art for sale around Jackson Square and lots of restaurants in the area. Cafe Du Monde is across the street from Jackson Square.
The Cathedral is a must see. Check the hours before visiting. It sits behind the Jackson Square.

A swamp tour is a must see. Most of the tours are about a 45 minutes drive from downtown New Orleans. You can get a package deal that includes a bus from the city.
The Central Grocery is an old fashion Italian deli. They are known for the New Orleans Muffaletta. They are also known for stuffed artichoke and you can buy authentic Italian goods such as olive oil, olives and cheeses. Grab a muffaletta and enjoy it by the river bank.
Enjoy a boat cruise on the Mississippi River.
A famous water hole known for their hurricanes and dueling pianos with a beautiful courtyard.
Enjoy unique boutiques and eateries along Magazine Street.
Johnny's has traditional New Orleans po-boys and delicious gumbo.
A great jazz club with good drinks.
The Audubon Zoo is a great zoo and Audubon Park is near the zoo and offers beautiful outdoor areas for nice walks. Great spot for kids.
The famous Bourbon Street is a must see. Fun bars and awesome place for dancing! Enjoy!
