There will be two trolley pick-ups at the hotels at 4:15 PM and 5:00 PM for around 30-40 people per trip. The venue is only 10 minutes away from the hotels, so we definitely encourage carpooling and ride-sharing. If you drive, there will be complimentary valet parking at the venue beginning at 4:30 PM. At the end of the night, the trolleys will begin picking people up at 11:30 PM and bringing them back to the hotels. They will do enough trips to make sure that everyone at the reception has a ride back to the hotels! Might be worth sticking around and stopping by the Loews at the end of the night... (the Washington Ballroom specifically).
It's not as confusing as we know it sounds. Basically, it's black tie. If you are wearing a dress, wear one that you would wear to a black tie wedding. Really this is for folks who plan to wear a suit - you do not have to go out and rent a tuxedo if you don't have one.
Look - as hard as it is to answer this question, it's just as easy to tell you where NOT to go. Do not, under any circumstances, go to Pat's or Geno's. If you follow those simple instructions, you'll be okay. You can't go wrong with D'Allesandro's (Jamie's favorite), Jim's, Steve's on Bustleton, Abner's in University City, or any of the Pudge's locations outside of the city (Jeremy's favorite). But the real secret is that the sandwich to get in Philly isn't a cheesesteak - it's the Italian pork sandwich from DiNic's or John's Roast Pork.
Sadly, they will not. We toyed with idea of having them be flower girls, but ultimately we decided that they would steal too much attention away from us.
The ceremony, reception, and after party will all be indoors!
Yes - there are many hotels in the area, and AirBnB + Vrbo are great options as well. Just keep in mind transportation will be provided at the end of the evening back to the three hotels listed only.
We love your kids (probably). But in order for all of our guests, including parents, to enjoy themselves fully, we have chosen for our wedding to be an adult-only occasion. We hope you understand, and we hope this advance notice provides you the opportunity to make babysitting arrangements if necessary.
No.
