Q & A

The Wedding Website of Jamie Barbour and Jake Lowder
Question

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

Festive formal attire. With the wedding being in mid-October, days + nights can be brisk. Hood River is typically around 65 in mid-October and is notoriously windy. Please plan accordingly. We ask that men wear a tuxedo or black suit and bowtie or tie. Alternatively, a floor-length dress or midi-length dress would be encouraged. Don't pack your colors away too soon! Colors and texture are encouraged for the women!

Question

Will the wedding be outside?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside. The reception will be held inside of a tent. Please note that the ceremony and cocktail areas are on grass! A jacket or shawl is advised in case of a sprinkle in late October.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that there are no phones or cameras during our wedding ceremony.

Question

Will there be parking available at the venue?

Answer

No parking at the venue will be available. Complimentary shuttles will transport guests to and from the venue. Please take a look at the shuttle schedule under the Travel tab for more details.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

If you plan to stay in Hood River, which we encourage, we highly recommend that you book lodging as soon as possible. Reference the travel page for suggestions. Keep in my mind shuttle pick-up locations for reference.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with you! To keep things simple, we’ve included the names of those invited on your invitation, and when you RSVP on the website it will indicate whether a plus one was included. Due to the size of our venue, we ask that you RSVP only for the number invited on the website.

Question

Are Children Welcome?

Answer

Although we adore all of our closest family and friends children, due to capacity limits at our ceremony and reception venues, the only children at our wedding are those in the wedding party!

Question

I have an allergy or dietary restriction. Will there be accommodations?

Answer

Our goal for dinner is to have something that everyone can enjoy! If you have a food allergy, or dietary restriction, please reach out and let us know so we can do our best to accommodate you!
