On June 9th, 2024, the plan was to go visit Golden, CO for Brunch and pictures. Grandma Kathy was in town visiting so we wanted to make the most of our time with her. Jasmine was also begging me to take pictures for our Instagram. One thing about me is I am always down to take some pictures! The day of, I got all dolled up. My hair was looking good, my makeup was looking good, I was feeling good. We were on the way to Golden going east on C-470 from Parker. Grandma Kathy sparked up some conversation as we were about to pass the Morrison exit to Red Rocks. She says "Ohhh, I haven't been to red rocks in a long long time" and "Is it far off the highway?". I reply with "only about 10 minutes". Grandma Kathy wanted to go visit it. Red Rocks is me and Jamie's favorite place to be in the summer, so of course, I was happy to go. We arrived at the Upper North lot and enter at the top of the amphitheater. While we were enjoying the view on this perfect Sunday Morning, Jamie asks if I wanted go sit on the steps and people watch. I love to people watch so of course I did! As we were walking down, I noticed an old highschool classmate holding a camera (our Engagement photographer). Confused to see her there, I still didn't put anything together. I thought it was just a coincidence. Once I am done saying hi, I look up at my family and suddenly notice Jamie's grandma? I am still so oblivious as to what is going on. Jamie blushes and says something very romantic and gets down on one knee! I honestly don't remember what he said. I completely blacked out from pure excitement. After he proposes and I cry happy tears, he puts the ring on the wrong hand and everyone in the amphitheater cheers loudly. I still remember that day so clearly.

We met through mutual friends in the EDM scene. Our friends were meeting up at a show and that was the first time we had ever laid eyes on each other. Jaida knew that Jamie was Cassidy's roommate but couldn't remember his name until the second or third encounter. She only knew of his great taste in EDM and his good vibes at shows. We finally exchanged info and snapchatted each other for introductions. Our first one-on-one hangout consisted of Fortnite and uncontrollable laughter. After that day, we were inseparable (friends). Jaida thought if they ever dated and broke up it would ruin the best friendship. We finally gave dating a shot. Another year goes by, and we were already joking about marriage. We went from inseparable best friends to inseparable partners in crime. We couldn't imagine it any other way. Our relationship is filled with the perfect combination of humor and romance. We can't wait to tie the knot and grow old together :)
