A beautiful park along the river with a great view of the bridge & New Orleans skyline. We love grabbing brunch (and some praline bacon!) at Elizabeths, then walking the length of Crescent Park toward downtown.
Cafe Amelie
Fabulous courtyard brunch spot - great food, ambiance, and in the heart of the French Quarter with lots of cute shops to explore nearby.
The National WWII Museum
Incredible museum - enough to keep you busy all day! Also a great rainy day option (not that the weather would dare act up on our wedding weekend!)
The Sazerac House
Learn all about the history of cocktails, plus they have incredible interactive displays - and tastings, of course. Oh, and it's free. You just need to pre-book to reserve your spot.
Cajun Pride Swamp Tours
This swamp tour company is only about 40 minutes outside the city, and they're great!

Our favorite go-to brunch spot. Amazing chicken and waffles, shrimp & grits, and their espresso martinis are to die for!
Nottoway Resort
If you're looking for a beautiful plantation to visit, this one takes the cake. It's the largest Antebellum Plantation in the region, with beautiful grounds, tours, and a restaurant. Makes for a nice day trip.
Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden
Lots of winding paths through sculptures, gardens, huge oak trees - and last year they added a new section that almost doubled the size. Well worth a visit on a pretty day. Located in City Park, next to NOMA (New Orleans Museum of Art) and there's even a Cafe du Monde nearby if you're in the mood for coffee and beignets.
