Jamie had just started flight school and had the idea to see her friends at the pickleball courts one evening on the way home from school. She did not come prepared to play and had no intentions to stay for more than a "hi" to the people she knew. When she got there, she saw Holland playing with one of her friends. Within in 10 minutes, they came off of the courts and Holland had made the effort to introduce himself. Then Jamie left. That week, Jamie suddenly became very into pickleball and showed up at the courts and happened to pair up with Holland for a couple rounds. Then, that Thursday, Jamie and Holland both saw each other at church realizing they had more mutual friends than they thought. Holland would always say, "I knew about her before I met her". The two tried to stay friends to get to know each other and on April 26th, 2025, Holland had asked her to go on their first date. He took her to Caps on the Water near Vilano Beach, right next to an airport! After that, they quickly fell in love finding so many things they enjoyed doing together - Disney, watching the Star Wars series, wake surfing on the lake with the Boones, walking the beach, playing golf (is that not obvious from our photos??), hanging out with friends, serving students at Eleven22 and so much more. Flash forward, Holland got down on one knee on February 28th, 2026 and they celebrated with the best of friends and family who were able to join. Jamie and Holland look forward to building their lives together centered on Christ with a heart to serve each other and build a family that loves God, people, adventure and sharing life-giving moments. They are so excited to celebrate the start of their marriage with their favorite people! "He had made everything beautiful in its time," Ecclesiastes 3:11
