Flying to Cebu

FROM AUSTRALIA

If you're traveling from Adelaide, Melbourne or Sydney the total flight time is between 8 to 12 hours depending on your stop/s and layovers. Recommended Airlines: - Cathay Pacific (via Hong Kong) to Cebu - Singapore Airlines (via Singapore) to Cebu - Qantas Airlines (via Manila) to Cebu These airlines are known for their excellent service, modern aircraft, and convenient layovers. Why Not Manila? While other airlines like Philippine Airlines Qantas or budget carriers like Cebu Pacific fly via Manila, it’s best to avoid this route. Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport is often congested, which can lead to delays and a less pleasant experience. Arrival in Cebu: You’ll land at Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB), a modern and efficient airport located on Mactan Island. Cebu is a great place to start your Philippine adventure, offering beautiful beaches, historic sites, and delicious cuisines.

How to get to Boracay

FROM CEBU OR MANILA

There is only one way to get from Cebu or Manila to Boracay - via Domestic flight. Flight Option: From Cebu or Manila, book a direct domestic flight to Caticlan (Godofredo P. Ramos Airport), the closest airport to Boracay. Airlines like Cebu Pacific, AirAsia and Philippine Airlines operate this route frequently. From Caticlan to Boracay: After arriving at Caticlan, take a short tricycle ride to the jetty port, followed by a 15-minute ferry ride to Boracay Island. Check with the resort you're staying at for airport transfers, we highly recommend adding this option as it's hassle free and you are picked up from the airport and taken to your hotel without any of the additional fees (Terminal fees and Environmental fees)

Cebu

CENTRAL VISAYAS

Cebu offers beautiful beaches, waterfalls, and historical landmarks like Basilica Minore del (Sto. Niño church) and Magellan’s Cross. This is the bride's home town and is the best city to visit (preferred over Manila) as it is less populated and safer. The airport in Cebu stands out for being more modern and significantly cleaner, offering a more comfortable and pleasant experience for travelers. Cebu city is also surrounded by beautiful areas of the island - Oslob for Whale Shark diving, Kawasan Falls for Canyoneering, Moalboal for it's famous sardine run or Bantayan Island for it's prestine beaches. On a 2 hour Super-cat ferry ride from Cebu, you can also head to the small island of Bohol - home to the Chocolate Hills and adorable tarsiers.

El Nido is a Philippine municipality on Palawan island. It’s known for white-sand beaches, coral reefs and as the gateway to the Bacuit archipelago, a group of islands with steep limestone cliffs. Take a domestic flight to Puerto Princessa Airport, and from there you can book a private or shared van (all available outside of the airport terminal) which will take 5-6 hours to El Nido. You can hire scooters in El Nido, and explore the whole island visiting various beaches. El Nido town has lots of accommodation options to suit any budget, from lodges or airbnb and also luxury villas. El Nido has a vibrant night life, with lots of cafe & restaurants serving local and international food! Want to explore more of Palawan?
