Our love story is one of my favorites, however, there is not near enough room to tell it all. If you have been around us, you know the many wonderful stories that we can tell! I know that someday our children will tell their children about it. We may not know any differently, but we both feel so incredibly blessed to have had the past 5.5 years together before marriage. We started dating when we were 18 and 20 years old and have been best friends ever since. I've taught Hank about all the wonderful girly things in life and Hank has taught me more than I ever thought I would know about hunting and fishing. Hank and I met at Nutty Brown Cafe in the summer of 2014 following my sophomore year at Texas Tech, and right before Hank graduated from Georgetown High School. I love to say it was love at first sight until I found out that he was two years younger than me and I was NOT about that, ha! Hank told me that night he was going to Texas Tech in the fall and I knew I had to get in touch with him once he moved to Lubbock. The day before classes started, I asked him to meet me for lunch for what we didn't know would be our "first date". Long story short, we have been inseparable ever since. On Dec. 3, 2014, Hank packed his truck full of blankets and pillows, took me to a cotton field in Lubbock, and in the bed of his trucked asked, "Jamie Lynn Lassiter, will you be my girlfriend?". It still makes me smile and he has truly had my heart ever since. We are both filled with gratitude that we get to celebrate our marriage with so many people who love us deeply and have prayed over us and with us over the years. We also believe that our relationship is something that only God could have orchestrated and we know that He will continue to stay in the center of our marriage.
