We're getting married!

Erik and I met in August of 2020, through mutual friends, during the height of Covid. I was going into my senior year of high school and Erik just graduated high school. I would say the connection grew very quickly. We ended up dating after 10 days of knowing each other. He was my very first boyfriend, and I was his first real girlfriend. After a year of us dating had passed, he gave me a promise ring. It was no surprise I would get one because we both knew we were dating to marry. In 2021, I entered EMT school. Erik was still working in AC. After EMT school, I then went onto paramedic school and then the fire academy. The same time I started fire academy (January 2023), Erik became a Community Service Officer with the City of Hollywood. He was one step closer to his dream of becoming a police officer. Flash forward to October of 2023, I got hired as a firefighter/paramedic with the City of Pompano Beach. At this time Erik was still a CSO. Finally in the beginning of 2024, Erik switched over and got hired as a Police Officer with Hollywood and started the police academy. He got on the road as a police officer in August of 2024. We both had our dreams made. The best part was, we were doing it together. September of 2024 is when Erik got down on one knee and popped the question. This was the biggest surprise of my life. Not that he was asking me to marry him, but the timing of when he asked surprised me. He asked me at the Loxahatchee levy in the Everglades during sunset. It was just us two, someone filming, and someone holding a sign saying "Will you marry me?" And from that point on, we started wedding planning. We bought our first home in April of 2025 and are very ready to start our lives and get married!
