Flight
If you’re flying in for the wedding, we recommend booking your flight into Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). It’s the most convenient option and just about 15 minutes from the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel, where our wedding will be held. We’ll also be sharing transportation tips and nearby hotel options on our wedding website to help make your trip as smooth as possible. Safe travels—we can't wait to see you!
Train
For guests considering train travel, the Charlotte Amtrak Station is located about 2 miles from the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel, our wedding venue and host hotel. It’s easy to reach the hotel by taxi or rideshare from the station. Here’s some info on train options from popular departure points: From Columbia, SC: Guests can take the Amtrak Crescent or Carolinian lines to Charlotte. The trip typically takes around 10 hours, so plan accordingly. From Anne Arundel County, MD: The closest major Amtrak station is Baltimore’s Penn Station. From there, take the Carolinian or Crescent lines southbound to Charlotte. The journey from Baltimore to Charlotte usually takes about 8 to 9 hours. From Philadelphia, PA: Board Amtrak’s Silver Star or Silver Meteor lines, which travel south through Baltimore and Washington, D.C., continuing to Charlotte. The trip can take around 10 to 12 hours, depending on the schedule. Once you arrive at the Charlotte Amtrak Station, just a short 5- to 10-minute drive will bring you to the hotel.
