Please RSVP September 1, 2022, but we recommend booking lodging no later than July 2022 and car rentals/driving services at least 1-2 months out. October is wedding season in Valle de Guadalupe so things book up!
Yes, a passport is required to travel to Mexico.
Restaurants and wineries take credit card, but some pharmacies, markets, and liquor stores do not. We would recommend pulling out some pesos from your bank to have on hand. If you are driving to Valle, it's recommended to have 150 pesos for the toll booths (see "How do I drive across the border" FAQ for more info).
Yes, please refer back to the "Lodging, Flights, Ground Transportation" section of the website for all lodging recommendations.
Please see the "Lodging, Flights, Ground Transportation" page for airport suggestions.
If you're traveling from California, we recommend driving. It takes about 1.5 hours to reach Valle de Guadalupe from the San Diego-Tijuana boarder. See "How do I drive across the board" section below.
It is easy to cross the border into Mexico, but a little trickier to cross back into the US. You'll pass through 3 toll booths on your way down to Valle and back up, so make sure to have $260 pesos, or $13 USD cash, for the roundtrip. To cross into Mexico, plug your destination into Google Maps and make sure to select the coastal route with toll roads. This drive has better roads and is more scenic. It will direct you to go through the San Ysidro border crossing in San Diego. Once you're through the border, stay in the far right lanes so you can catch the onramp to Ensenada/Playas Tijuana. Follow this highway and it will take you straight to Ensenada, and then you drive inland 20 min to reach Valle de Guadalupe (Google Maps will direct you). To cross back into the US, you can purchase a tourism fast pass for $35 USD from a pharmacy located along the drive up to the border. Enter the following pharmacy address into Google Maps: Farmacia Ortiz — Address: 22740 Primo Tapia, Baja California, Mexico. Only US citizens are allowed to purchase a fast pass and it allows you to get in a shorter lane for the San Ysidro border crossing back to the US. The pharmacy workers typically don't speak much English, but if you say "border fast pass" they'll understand and require you show a US ID and provide your license plate number. It can be tricky to locate the fast pass lane through the San Ysidro border relying on Google Map directions alone, so we HIGHLY recommend watching the video on the following site for instructions on how to get to get there: https://www.bajabound.com/before/directions/fastpass We highly encourage you avoid driving back to the US on a Sunday, but if you have to, we recommend you hit the road early (5-7am) so you don't sit in traffic for 4-8 hours at the border. There are 3 border crossing options, San Ysidro is just our recommendation. For info on Otay and Tecate border crossings, check out this site: https://www.bajabound.com/before/returning/
It's totally up to you, but we recommend Thursday (10/13) - Monday (10/17) to avoid border traffic and to fully enjoy the destination! For guests that are attending the Rehearsal Dinner, we ask for them to arrive in time for the dinner at 6pm on Thursday (10/13) evening.
While we would love for everyone to stay onsite, we have a limited number of rooms reserved at the venue — if you have been invited to stay onsite, you will have an extra section on the RSVP page that asks you to RSVP and fill out a form for family lodging. All other recommended lodging options can be located on the "Lodging, Flights, Ground Transportation" page.
We love your kids, but we have limited space (and intend to party), so please make it a date night.
If your Save the Date says 'and Guest', yes you can bring a date. If not, we prefer it's just you.
While we would love to have everyone there to celebrate with us, we are limited to a certain capacity and budget. The names listed on your Save the Date indicate who is invited to attend.
Please refer to the 'Schedule' section of the website for all information regarding the day of the wedding.
No, whatever floats your boat. Most guests will be dressing in cocktail attire, but it is highly recommended you bring a change of comfortable shoes because there will be a lot of dancing!
