Jamie: We met online October 2020....it took Darin a lot of time and patience for me to come around and realize he was the AMAZING one for me. He definitely knew before I did. So many of you told me "that one's a keeper," and so much of me resisted! He's the best man who ever lived, so I'm so thankful and HAPPY that he was so patient with me!!!! Darin: As she mentioned, Jamie and I met in October of 2020 from an app. We met at one of our most vulnerable times in life as we were both going through hardships. The first time I saw Jamie I didn't think she was for real. I couldn't believe how beautiful and nice she was. As I joked with her after meeting, I told her "I thought she was going to skin me and I would end up on the Tampa news". We instantly became friends from that day. We shared many laughs watching movies and tv shows together. We watched the entire Game of Thrones, Vikings, Stranger Things and many others. We shared a passion of watching the Tampa Bay Lightning games and going out to restaurants, getting to do things in the comfort of knowing we could just be "US" and not try to impress one another. We became really good friends over the months, and in about a year after that I would do anything for Jamie. I would love to watch her dogs when she went out of town or needed any type of help in her apartment, even if it was just to "turn a switch to fix her dishwasher". It seemed endless with the amount of smiles we gave each other as friends over the course of 2 years. I knew that Jamie was the one for me and that I never wanted to be away from her June of 2022. She was concerned for my safety when a hurricanes projected path was aiming directly for Tampa. Jamie was in Atlanta for a travel nurse assignment and DEMANDED that I make the drive north to stay with her even though I would rather stay and ride it out. It was a sign that I was to go up and see her. This ended up being one of the greatest times we had together. We went to Stone Mountain Park outside of Atlanta and got to see all different types of beautiful outdoor scenery. We even snuck onto the last train ride around the mountain and that was when we took our first picture together. After 2 years of hanging out, we finally had a picture of the both of us. We got a blanket to share and lay on while watching the laser/fireworks show that night. It was right then and there when I knew she was the one.
