The two of us share a deep love of singing, which led our paths to cross at The Boston Conservatory. Connor was the choir manager, putting him in charge of setup, attendance, and the all-important seating chart. Our seats were arranged by section: soprano, alto, tenor, bass, which meant that our sections (alto and tenor) were next to each other. Seeing an opportunity to leverage his power for good, Connor seated us next to each other for every single choir rehearsal that year! We worked together on many scenes, duets, and projects, quickly realizing that we collaborated in total harmony. In our senior year we made things official, and have been making music and memories together ever since!
On Christmas Eve, there's only one place you'll find the two of us: singing at church. This Christmas, we sang the 5 PM Lessons and Carols together as a pair, the 8 PM Festival Service with our beloved church choir, and the 11 PM Candlelit Service with a chamber choir. The Candlelit Service, one of our favorite annual events, takes place in the beautiful stone chapel and concludes with a venture out into Copley Square to sing "Silent Night" by the warm glow of flickering flames. Once we returned indoors and defrosted from the wind chill, I found Connor waiting for me at the front of the chapel on one knee holding a shiny red box. Best Christmas ever! ❤️
