Cabot Huffstutter

Groom

Born and raised in Monroe, LA, Cabot has spent the last 10 years pursuing ministry, both congregational and educational. Graduating from Harding University, Cabot and Jamie overlapped while studying there but never met until they began their studies in seminary at the Harding School of Theology.

Jamie Williams

Bride

Jamie is a dual citizen of Canada and the US, having been born in Yellowknife in the Northern Territory of Canada and then moving to Hernando, Mississippi for the majority of her life. She also spent a few years in the Ukraine with her family as they worked in the mission field. She has a passion for creative writing and a soul that longs for relationship with the divine. She is currently studying theology at the Harding School of Theology, where she met Cabot in the Fall of 2017.

Corbin Huffstutter

Best Man

Twin bro of the groom. They once shared a womb together. Now they share a love of all things music, movies, and soccer. Mostly, though, they can do whatever, whether thats just spending time chilling or adventuring. Corbin not only loves to listen to music but he plays a mean guitar, writes his own music, but prefers to play it to those closest to him, including his cats. His wife Kayla is an artiste and is like a sister to Cabot.

Kayla Huffstutter

Bridesmaid

Sister-in-law to Cabot, friend of the bride, and a brilliant artist to boot (look no further than her artwork on the save-the-dates and invites for proof). Funny story: Jamie actually met Corbayla (Corbin and Kayla's couple name) on a camping trip before she met Cabot. One might say this chance encounter with one twin boded well for a future encounter with the other.

Will Reno

Groomsman

Cabot and Will were roommates for one fateful semester in college where they became besties. After college they reunited again as roommates in NE Arkansas once adulthood struck their misgivings about growing up. Since meeting in 2007 they've maintained a friendship that has continued to last, whether by phone or long distance reunions.

Cana Moore

Bridesmaid

It's safe to say that without Cana Cabot and Jamie might not have become an "item." Throughout Cabot and Jamie's friendship, she secretly took pictures on her phone of them with the hope that one day they would get together. Cana has been the fulcrum to their relationship from the beginning, providing wisdom and theological insight from her profound intelligence and heart for God. Her friendship and dedication knows no bounds, much like the God she serves in emulation.

JP Baker

Groomsman

JP began his friendship with Cabot like many of his other groomsman, in school, specifically at Harding University. In the Summer of 2014 JP served as a youth intern for the church that Cabot worked for as youth minister. During that summer, what might've seemed like just another intern turned into a close-knit bond, as JP and Cabot would often get off of work and spend time watching movies together with some of the older teens or on their own. Besides movies, you can often catch these two philosophizing or talking theology over a cup of coffee.

Paula Morales

Bridesmaid

When Jamie went to Harding as a freshman in 2009, she had no idea that her Nicaraguan roommate would become much more than that. Through the 4 years that they spent together at university, Paula became a confidant, a friend, and a sister. Jamie had the privilege of meeting Paula's future husband, Lewis, a native of England. They both now live just outside of London, making Paula the winner of "traveler of the longest distance for Jamie and Cabot's wedding."

Christian Wright

Groomsman

Christian and Cabot met while studying at the Harding School of Theology. They both love theology, and more often than not you can find the two discussing deep topics concerning philosophy, life, or Christianity. They've been roommates for the last 2 years, which has only served to strengthen their relationship. Christian is an extremely dependable and compassionate friend, who has an incessant desire to understand truth and apply it to his life and relationships.

Mallory Pratt

Bridesmaid

The first time Jamie saw Mal on campus, she assumed that she was the upperclassman she had heard about who every English professor had been bragging about...she came to find out that Mallory was a year younger than Jamie and wasn't that specific student. She did, however, come to be regarded as an especially brilliant scholar. More importantly, no matter the distance, she has been with Jamie through thick and thin. By plane, by car, by phone and by note, she has offered compassion, counsel and companionship.

Tanner Smith

Groomsman

Tanner and Cabot grew up together as cousins, only a couple years apart. Nearly every summer the Huffstutter family would travel to the tiniest town of Hoxie, Arkansas to stay with family for one to a few weeks. We would spend hours playing in the backyard, or at the pool, or watching movies or playing video games. Since then he's gotten hitched to Gretchen, his middle school sweetheart, and he has housed Cabot when he needed a place to stay when commuting for school, provided immaculate restaurant recommendations, and continued to be a loyal friend through it all.

Marcy Yoder

Bridesmaid

Jamie first bumped into Marcy on a trip to Chicago with Harding's Living World Religions course. They spoke for a few fleeting moments on a walk to Chinatown about matters of faith and their hopes for the future. A little less than a year later, they were reconnected by their mutual friend Mallory Pratt. While living in Searcy, Marcy and her husband Christian (Fun fact: Jamie's first memory of seeing Cabot was at their wedding) hosted Jamie and their community of friends in their home for meals and movies, sharing good food and even better company. There aren't words to sum up the content of countless conversations, contemplations, meandering drives, long walks and cups of coffee through which Marcy has poured her wisdom and healing compassion into Jamie.

Zach Wilkerson

Groomsman

Zach began his relationship with Cabot as the really tall guy who was dating his cousin Maddi. That was about all he knew until Zach moved to Harding the same year as Cabot did, where they pledged the same social club as freshmen. The journey from there has transitioned from relative anonymity to closest of friends. Zach and Cabot roomed together off campus during their final semesters at Harding, and it was during that time that Zach and Maddi were engaged. From helping with the engagement to being asked to officiate the wedding, Cabot has been honored to be a friend to Zach, as Zach has countless times reciprocated through his friendship and loyalty.

Maddi Wilkerson

Bridesmaid

Maddi has been Cabot's cousin since, well, they were both born, and their friendship has grown through life, college, and into adulthood. But since she and Zach have moved to Memphis she has become a co-worker and friend to Jamie, offering to help with planning and providing advice through it all. Whether they goof off between rushes at work or we're all hanging out watching Doctor Who, Maddi and Jamie have realized that though they have only known each other for the duration of Cabot and Jamie's relationship together, they have so much in common that friendship has come easy and will continue to grow.

B Chris Simpson

Officiant

To say that B Chris means a lot to this couple is an understatement. Cabot first met B while studying at Harding University. After that B continued to pop up, preaching at youth events that Cabot would take his youth group to. In those moments B's warmth, Christlike presence, and love was expressed as he always provided a listening ear or encouraging word. Who knew that upon moving to Memphis, Cabot would meet Jamie at the very congregation that B preached at. As he has become intertwined in their lives, he has provided counsel and insight, they both knew they wanted him to be a part of their big day.
