Things To Do

As you know there are A LOT of things to do, see, and eat while in NYC… So instead of listing down the basics we thought we’d share some of our favorite places, restaurants and bars.
Fraunces Tavern

Fraunces Tavern

54 Pearl Street, New York, NY 10004

This is our favorite NYC restaurant! It is a cozy and historic restaurant/pub in the Financial district. The food is quality, the staff is great, and it is perfect for a nice dinner or a drink. This was even George Washington's favorite bar!

Time Out Market New York

Time Out Market New York

55 Water Street, Dumbo, NY 11201

This is a great spot on the waterfront in Brooklyn with views of both Manhattan and Brooklyn bridge as well as the NYC skyline. It has tons of great NY restaurants inside and multiple bars. We recommend taking the ferry there and ordering the mac n cheese from Jacob’s Pickles!

Central Park

Central Park

1802 East 65th Street, New York, NY 10065

Yes, this one is obvious but if/when you go, we recommend strolling past Strawberry Fields. If you’re lucky, a busker will be singing Imagine as you walk by.

Staten Island Ferry

Staten Island Ferry

South Ferry Plaza, 4 South Street, New York, NY 10004

This is a free ferry ride from Lower Manhattan which runs 24 hours a day. This ferry gives you some of the best views of the Manhattan skyline and an up close look at our Lady Liberty!

The High Line

The High Line

New York, NY 10011

The High Line is an elevated rail line which has been transformed into a public park on Manhattan's West Side. We love the Highline because it offers unbelievable views of Manhattan, you literally walk between some of the biggest skyscrapers in New York. The Highline is also a convenient and relaxing 1 mile walk which avoids crosswalks which tend to slow down the process a lot when venturing around Manhattan.

Grand Central Terminal

Grand Central Terminal

89 East 42nd Street, New York, NY 10017

Grand Central is the largest train station in the world. You're likely thinking, "why would I go and look at a train station". This was the very first train station I (Jamie) arrived in when first moving to America. I was blown away with how amazing it looked when I got off the train. I am pretty confident that anyone who sees Grand Central for the first time will be absolutely blown away.

For all the days along the way
