How we met

We met in our final year of high school and spent those last few months getting to know each other. After graduation, we had one last summer before university and we made the most of it, spending as much time together as we could. At first, we assumed our relationship would come to an end when school started and life pulled us in different directions. But somewhere along the way, without really realizing it, we had become something much more to each other. So when university began, our story didn’t end it simply carried on. Even through a year of long-distance, we stayed connected. Eventually, Alessio applied to the same university as Jamie, and from there, everything fell into place. We spent the next three years growing, learning, and building a life side by side. After university, moving in together felt like the most natural next step. What started back then has grown into our forever, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.

Our proposal story

What began as a quiet day exploring Kanazawa became one of the most unforgettable moments of our lives. We met with our “tour guide” and wandered through the timeless beauty of Kenroku-en Garden, completely immersed in its serene landscapes and unaware that every detail of the afternoon had been so thoughtfully arranged. As we were guided to a bridge overlooking a still pond, we paused for a photo, but in that moment, everything shifted. Alessio got down on one knee and asked Jamie to spend forever together. After eight years, in a place that felt almost unreal, it was a moment suspended in time and an easy yes. The evening continued with a Michelin-starred Kanazawa cuisine dinner in a private garden-viewing room, where we were able to take it all in, celebrating not only the day, but the beginning of everything still to come.
