Getting Married!

This is the story about how Barry and I became officially dating. It will explain when he told me that he loved me, Or so I had thought. It was loud in the place with music and a crowd of people. I remember talking to my friend Paula about it, telling her he said he loved me and I got nervous and walked away. Well, I loved Barry and we weren't even officially dating yet so it just caught me off guard. So a few minutes later, I walked back over to him and said, "Well just so you know, I love you too!" He stood there confused about what in the world was happening. Honestly, I had no idea I said anything wrong. He just stood there "actively listening" as he calls it while I proceeded to embarrass myself without knowing. I said, " Don't you think you should ask me to be your girlfriend then if you love me?" (I am old fashioned and I am not about assuming. I believe that both parties have to be aware of the relationship status so that the boundaries of the relationship are known) He said, "Okay, Will you be my girlfriend." Of course I said Yes! We talked about this moment a week or two later. I thought it was cute that I had to ask him to ask me. I kind of picked on him for telling me he loved me before asking me. This is when he told me that he did not say that he loved me and that I caught him off guard. I was slightly embarrassed for basically inviting myself to be his girlfriend by accident. We laughed about it though, and I would not change a thing. I told him that I must have been wishing pretty hard that he would ask me out. We have been lovers and best friends ever since! We were friends and co-workers before we were a couple. Barry is the man of my dreams. He is a gentleman, he is very kind-hearted, and he would do absolutely anything for me, even when I am being crazy. I am truly the lucky one to have someone as great as him that is okay with putting up with me.

So Mother's Day morning I woke up to Kam and Barry on my bed. If you know me, I am really not a morning person AT ALL! So I awoke, and they wanted to give me presents. Well I rolled over and waved them away. I think I said something like "Wait till I wake up, I'll open my presents then". Well, Barry had this really sad response, I could tell It hurt his feelings so I figured I could get up an open them. So first Kam gives me his. It was the enhancer part of my engagement ring, without the ring. I had no idea what I was looking at, so I asked. Then Barry gave me his and I opened the ring. I was like "dang Barry you are brave asking me in the morning" cuz he knows how grumpy I am when I wake up. Of course I said YES! Barry told me that he had the ring for a day or two before asking me and it was pretty much burning a hole in his pocket. He couldnt take it any longer. He couldnt wait another second to ask me he said. It was cute that he included Kam. Kamryn is very excited for us to get married!
