It's funny how love finds you. Finding the love of my life within a group chat was never what I expected. However, it was evident that I was falling fast and hard without seeing Jamiah face to face. To be able to begin our journey by expressing our goals and dreams that we wished to accomplish with a simple "Goodnight, future nurse" and "Goodnight, future Psychologist" to strive to achieve those titles together. From being able to talk from sun up to sun down throughout those summer days and never run out of things to discuss, From staying up late in different time zones and talking on the phone and meeting my best friend “Syd” as we continued to get close, led us down this path. From the first moment I looked at you, and instantly knew you were the one for me within Epps Gym. The first hug, the first kiss, to even running a lap around my dorm room when you said "Yes" to being my girlfriend in college. From the many times, we saw each other and fought through the distance to be around each other no matter the cause in college, to still finding each other through it all after a break. To the endless flowers, teddy bears, movie dates, dinner dates(Moe's/Chipotle dates), and picnics. We have continued to love each other. To drive across the country for a chance to love and hug you after the year of dealing with the pandemic for the first time in Santa Barbara was all the more reassuring that you were the one for me. Finding Jamiah was my ultimate blessing and my dream come true. To experience a continuous journey and love like this is hard to find. Through all of these moments, to be here engaged, leading towards our dream wedding depicts what it looks like to fight for love and cherish it. To be able to continue to love you until my dying days is my honor and pleasure. Knowing that I will have the opportunity to put a smile on your face every day that I am granted allows me to feel extremely blessed, and for that, I am thankful. -Kahlil Cohens
