Chris and Jamey met the old fashion way ... online. At the time, they were both living in Boston, MA. Chris was working with a consulting firm and Jamey was doing her residency.When they met, Jamey was a little overwhelmed--- really, really, really overwhelmed--- with residency. Chris was persistent and did not give up. He was able to work his magic and get Jamey to keep going on dates.While they lived in Boston, they went to many New England sporting events including Celtics basketball games as Chris had season tickets. They also would explore the city when they would take Chris' dog, Cody, for walks as well as have drinks on his patio during the summer months.The relationship was put to the test when Jamey moved to Santa Monica, CA for her fellowship and then Chris moved to Portland, OR for his work. As they say, distance makes the heart grow fonder.

On November 9th, the two went to Disneyland, CA for a weekend getaway. During their trip, they stopped at the Wishing Well. Jamey was told to make a wish to be placed in the wishing well, when she replied "I don't have a coin". She was told to close her eyes anyways and just think of it. She rolled her eyes closed. When she opened her eyes, Chris was on his knee and asked Jamey to marry him.
