If you're arriving early or staying late, take a trip over to Fire Island and enjoy the beach in the early fall...it's unbeatable! There are no cars and no shoes; if you want to grab something to eat, head to Ocean Beach or Kismet as the other towns don't have restaurants (or public restrooms).
