Pre-Wedding Travel
For those looking to travel before the wedding (Labor Day is Monday, Sept 2, 2024), we plan to stay in Monterosso, a town in Cinque Terre, from Mon, Sept 2 through Thurs, Sept 5. We'll probably plan some downtime at the beach, fun dinners, a hike through the towns, etc. We'll provide more info closer to the date if anyone is interested in joining! -------------------------

Lodging
Immediate family and wedding parties will be staying at the wedding venue, but our host Francesco has put together a lodging website for all other guests! Please visit the website below (click "View" button) to book. After signing up, you'll see options that are close to the venue. Once booking with a down payment, you'll automatically get added to the shuttle bus schedule. Note: If you do not book through the website, then you will not be able to use the shuttle and will need to arrange alternative transportation. Driving/parking at the venue is an option, but please keep in mind the location of our venue is remote and local taxis don’t run at night.

We recommend setting flight price alerts on Google Flights or Kayak to keep tabs on dates and flight costs. Rental Car
Rental Car Options (Recommended)
The best way to explore the area is by car, so we strongly suggest renting a car from the airport. We've had a good experience with Europcar and Avis in the past. No rental cars are available in the Montevarchi area. Please note, Italy has started requiring an international drivers license - you can get one at AAA! Train
Train Options
From all the above airports, you can reach Montevarchi-Terranuova Station by train and then take a taxi to the hotel or venue. There are only four taxis in the area though, and there is typically a flat 35-40 Euro one-way cost from Montevarchi train station to your lodging. Drivers are available from 9am to 6pm. If you need the taxi another time, it is recommended to reserve in advance.
